受験生の皆様、2022年第3回英検２次試験A日程の結果はいかがでしたでしょうか？A日程の英検準1級の面接問題②を下記に記します。

【ある会社の社長についての話】:やや難
1.ある日、ある会社の社長が会社の辺りを歩いていた。1人の男性と1人の女性がコーヒーを飲みながら話をしていた。彼は「最近、退屈だなぁ」と言って、彼女は頷いた。
2.それから、その社長は(会社で)新聞を読んでいた。その新聞には「居眠りは従業員の業績を増やす」と書いてあった。彼はその記事に興味を持った。
3.数日後、その社長は仮眠室を設立した。その女性は仮眠室の中でとてもくつろいでいるようだった。彼はそれを見てとてもうれしかった。
4.1週間後、1人の男性従業員が会議に遅れてきた。彼は「アラームをセットするのを忘れた」と言った。社長は呆然とした。彼は何て言えばいいか分からなかった。

One day, a company president was walking around his office. A man and a woman was talking over coffee. He told her that he had been tired recently. She agreed to [on] that.
Then, the president was reading a newspaper in the office. The newspaper said that nap can increase employees’ performance. He was very interested in the article.
A few days later, the president created one nap room in the office. The woman looked very relaxed in the room. He was very pleased to see that.
However, a week later, one male employee was late for the meeting. The man explained to all workers at the meeting that he had forgetten to set the alarm. The president was very surprised to hear that. He didn’t know what to say about it.

【ポイント】
2コマ目:新聞には～と書いてある⇒The newspaper says that ～で表現。過去問ではThere is a sign saying [that says] ～.(～の標識が立っている。)を使う表現が何度か出ている。
3コマ目:仮眠室を設立する:create one nap room
過去問ではABCデイケアを創る:create ABC Daycareで出ている。
感情表現を入れる。
4コマ目:howeverで話を転換して、オチが出来ているかどうか？
感情表現を入れる。
～して呆然とする:be surprised to ～
その男性が～を言うの【言う】は会議を遅刻した理由を言っているので、【説明する(explain)】が望ましい。また、アラームのセットを忘れたことは過去完了形で過去形と時制を区別して表現するのが望ましい。
