導入（Introduction）

結論（Conclusion）

In my opinion, superpowers should retain nuclear weapons, however nuclear testing should be stopped.

Superpowers believe that the presence of nuclear weapons would deter the possibility of worldwide war. In fact, in the time of the Cold War, many countries were protected under the nuclear umbrella. I admit that the nuclear umbrella has stabilized the world. Now, the Cold War is over and many people argue that superpowers should renounce nuclear weapons. But the problem is that other countries may retain weapons of mass destruction. In order to deter atrocities or reckless actions, the superpowers should retain nuclear weapons.

However, nuclear testing should be stopped because its radiation causes serious damage to human beings and the environment. Since the terrible accident at the nuclear power plant in Chernobyl, we have recognized its terrible danger. Now, it is possible to simulate explosions on the computer in order to determine the effectiveness of a nuclear weapon, or what is called sub-critical experiments. This could become an alternative way to the traditional one.

Consequently, we, Japanese should discuss the nuclear deterrence and nuclear sharing.
